"AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE SAN FRANCISCO PUNK SCENE zine was printed in 1979 and given to people who were part of the beginnings of the SF punk scene. It is 46 pages xerox printed on one side on 8.5 x 11 paper. A lot of people were asking for photographs of themselves and friends so I came up with the idea of making a zine.

Most of the copies were given away and some were sold by stores like Sh-boom in San Francisco. Approximately 180 copies were printed. The content was photographs I had taken with no text. I had forgotten about it for years until a few years when somebody asked about it and said copies were going for up to $500.00.

During Covid looking for something to do I decided to make a facsimile. I had a lot of the old pages and recreated the ones I didn’t have. The new version is 8.5 x 5.5 inches printed on two sides with captions identifying the people in the photos."
